Make sure that the web pages you visit must be HTTPS encrypted. You can tell that your site includes HTTPS in your URL address bar or you can see if there is a security padlock sign or not.

A site with HTTPS shows you that the website or web page has several valid digital certificates even to the point of SSL/TLS encryption which will minimize the Man-in-the-Middle Attack (MITM) from occurring.

5. Use additional security and encryption of your passwords

Usually, there is a much greater focus on online privacy. Lots of security types to keep your networks safe, such as Tor, VPN, and DoNotTrack. When it comes to public wifi security, you’ll probably find some useful extensions to force your network to be encrypted on a website that not encrypt.

Also, don’t forget to secure your password. You can encrypt your password to keep it confidential.

6. Enable a firewall, and an antivirus

You Must also have an antivirus. Having an Antivirus is the right solution to avoid the evil practices of hackers. Therefore, if you often use public wifi connections more, then you need to install additional Antivirus to protect your device from abusive practices by hackers.
